County saddened at death of popular Noelle

Friends and co-workers were shocked to hear of the death of popular Noelle Ringwood following a car crash.

Noelle worked for Wicklow county council and was an avid supporter of animal rights.

Speaking to Wicklownews.net only last week she was praising the work being done by the newly formed Wicklow dog charity "CHANCE".

CHANCE posted the following message "Everyone at Chance is devastated to hear of the death of Noelle Ringwood yesterday. Noelle was an avid Chance supporter and voice for animal rights as well as being an intelligent, warm and kind individual. She will be sorely missed. We send her family our sincerest condolences. Rest in peace lovely lady, we will continue to fight the good fight for the animals for you. Xxx."

A co-worker said the county council is a very sad place this morning we have lost Noelle and another friend Hannah O'Byrne who died on Saturday.

The incident happened at Baylands, Camolin, Co Wexford shortly before 12pm when the car she was driving collided with a second car.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The occupants of the second vehicle - a man and a woman aged in their 40s and two boys aged 8 and 17 - were taken to Wexford General Hospital.

The road has been closed pending a forensic investigation and diversions are in place.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Gorey Garda station on 053-9430690, or the Garda confidential line 1800 666 111.

Noelle's funeral arrangements are as follows:

My thoughts and prayers go to Noelle's and Hannah's families and friends in Ireland. Noelle had very many internet connected friends and her loss has sent a ripple around the world. We will all miss her wit and humour, all delivered with a zest for life. A light has gone out this weekend.

I have never in my life had a friend so full of love. Noelle worked with me for over two years giving of herself selflessly to make me the best I could be. It will be many many years if ever that I wont feel a loss when I think of this most beautiful wonderful friend . I will always have a love in my heart for Noelle. Jerry Harmon
