Rathdrum commemorates 'Ivy Day'
By WicklowNews.net,
A huge crowd, including Cllr Jimmy O'Shaughnessy turned out on Sunday at Rathdrum’s Parnell Park to commemorative ‘Ivy Day’ – the anniversary of the death of Charles Stewart Parnell.
Renowned historian Michael McCarthy delivered the oration – the Parnell Pipe Band played the National Anthem and Brendan Cullen sounded the ‘Last Post’.
Organiser Jimmy Olohan was delighted with the attendance.

Jimmy O'Shaughnessy is an expert at turning up to everything, pity he's not an expert at actually getting anything.
he says hes a member of labour when it suits him and the way he harrassed county council officials to delay the playground, purely for selfish political reasons, is an utter disgrace. The only party that Jimmy should represent is the Me Fein party
i look forward to 2014 when Ill be voting for anyone thats not selfish and useless Jimmy
