More evidence of LGMA & Council shambles ahead of tomorrow's Campaign Against Household & Water Taxes protests across Wicklow

Ahead of tomorrow's three protests at Government TDs clinics in County Wicklow more evidence has been uncovered by Campaign Against Household & Water Taxes activists of the utter shambles of the LGMA and County Council strategy of writing to people they suspect of not registering for he household tax.

In the course of contact with supporters of the campaign and non payers in general across the county it has emerged the many non payers have not received any letters to date. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the boycott strategy as the state simply does not have the accurate information to effectively target many of the people boycotting the charge.

They have further undermined their authority by writing to people who have paid and likewise writing to many deceased people across the county.

The campaign, on foot of two successful meetings in Wicklow Town and Bray organised hastily this week in response to the letters is holding three protest pickets tomorrow hitting all four government TDs in the county

A further round of public meetings will take place in early to mid November beginning on Thursday 1st November in the Community Hall in Newtownmountkennedy. All meetings will be a platform for the building of a strong Wicklow contingent on the major national pre budget protest on Saturday 24th November at 1pm meeting at the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square, Dublin

Was at the protest in Bray today and all i can say is Oh My God what a shower of Loons. Whilst i am totally opposed to the Household charge the group behind these protests is just a front for the Socialist Workers Party (SWP). This party is renowned for trying to take over groups and ultimately destroying them. Todays protest was an utter joke, they marched us up and down the Main St and the public and motorists where far from impressed, in fact some motorists were shouting at us to get off the road. Unfortunately the SWP and some of the Loons associated with them are loosing support for the campaign against the Household Charge. People all i can say is be careful around this group.

Went to the one in Wicklow thinking I would make a change about 30 people there felt a bit embarrassed for the protesters and myself, don't think the people of Ireland are into this protesting thing. I think we just like to moan, my first and last think I will just pay up.
