Permission granted for wet/dry hostel

Wicklow county council have granted permission for for a wet/dry hostel which is to be run by the SIMON community in Wicklow town.

Permission was granted on Thursday with the Amalgamation of Nos. 5 & 6 Kilmantin Hill and all associated ancillary works, permission for a change of use of the building to facilitate the operation of a Supported Temporary Accommodation service from nos. 5 and 6, permission for alteration and extension to covered rear entrance lobby, new window to north elevation (High Street) and new boiler house to rear of building.

The Concerned citizens of Wicklow group will hold a meeting upstairs in Ernie's bar on Monday night at 7.30pm.

Clever Councillors ????? Right beside the 2 girls schools, the major tourist attraction in Wickow town and within spitting distance of pubs .... They are in for trouble when they call around for votes next local election time
