County Wicklow U13 Development Squad

Nine girls from our U14 squad have been training hard with the County Wicklow U13 Development Squad since last season.

The girls were selected based on their performance in the U14 championship in September.

They paticipated in a number of blitz tournaments in Carlow and Portlaoise and represented both club and county with pride.

The girls have their final trial on Thursday 16th February, at which point the squad will be reduced from 50 to 25 players.

We would like to thank Jenny Miley, John Bermingham, their assistant mentors and the members of the All-Ireland winning Wicklow Ladies team who worked so hard with the girls and have added so much to their confidence as players. On a very cold day in Donard the ladies at St. Nicholas GAA club had soup for the girls after training and it was deeply appreciated by all!

We'd like to congratulate the girls and to wish them all the very best on Thursday and to assure them that regardless of the outcome we are extremely proud of each and every one of them for putting themselves forward to represent our club at county level.

Good luck to Kayleigh Carter, Annie Conroy, Emer Curran, Ciara Forde, Lisa Keegan, Leah Lynch, Chloe O'Reilly, Doirrean O'Reilly and Kiera Rochford. Go AGB 14s!!!
