ANNAMOE CENTRE EVENTS
Fun Family Ceili this Friday 24th at 8pm. Music by Roundwood Ceoltas Ceoltoiri. Great evening entertainment, All welcome.
Historical Society Meeting next Monday 27th at 8pm. Handball Ccontinues each Wednesday at 8pm. Storytelling night 9th March at 8pm.
CELEBRATING 135 YEARS OF PLOUGHING.
Roundwood Ploughing Society are celebrating their 135th year of Ploughing in Roundwood and are holding their annual ploughing match on the 25th of February on the lands of John Byrne, Knockatemple, commencing at 12noon sharp.
All ploughmen/women wishing to compete on the day MUST register with Brendan Power at 0872420204 before 6pm Wednesday the 22nd in order to guarantee a plot.
Every class from Conventional, Vintage, Classic Tractor Classes and Horse Ploughing will be catered for.
As this is of special significance Mrs. Anna May McHugh, Managing Director of the NPA will officially open the event. A special booklet has been compiled of photos and information through the years which will be on sale for €5, and should be very interesting. Spectators are very welcome.
ANNAMOE CENTRE
There will be handball coaching every Wednesday night at 8pm.
There will be a Family Ceili on the last Friday of every month, next one will be 24th February.
Circuit Training / Bowls Circuit training continues every Monday night at 7pm with Johnny.
Bowls every Tuesday at 7.30pm.. Bowls continues on Tuesday at the new time of 7.30pm. All are welcome. We have rooms to let on long/ short term basis. More information email annamoecentre@eircom.net
COMMUNITY GAMES
Art Competition: The art competition takes place next Sunday 26th February. All children from Roundwood, Moneystown and Laragh area between the ages of 6 and16 are welcome to enter pictures. All pictures will be on display in the Parish Hall after 11.30 Mass.
The hall will be open till 1.30and everybody is welcome to view the masterpieces. Singing: We are inviting Girls and Boys under the age of 14 to enter the Solo Singing competition. With so much talent in the local area we are hoping to have a sing off with the competitors. Give your name to any member of the committee asap.
DVD FOR SALE
A DVD is for sale in Justine’s of the Old and New Hall at a cost of €10 each.
STORYTELLING
A great social evening, storytelling night in Annamoe Centre as part of the Co. Wicklow storytelling houses, there will be a storytelling night on 8th March at 8pm. Brush up on your old favourite songs, music etc and come along. Continues each Monday at 7pm with Johnny
ATHLETICS
Over 30 athletes from Roundwood & District Athletics Club travelled to Nenagh at the weekend to take part in the Leinster Indoor Juvenile Championships.
Congratulations and well done to all our athletes, a fantastic weekend was had by all!! Thanks to our trainers and parents involved in the preparation for this event and over the weekend.
Results: U19 Girls Shot put; Laura Kavanagh 3rd, Laura also came 2nd in the U19 Triple Jump. HISTORICAL EVENING
Annamoe Centre held their first historical meeting last Monday, it was a very big success. It was decided to have a meeting the last Monday of every month. The next meeting will be 27th February.
YOUTH ACTIVITIES
Calling all teenagers and their parents. Moves are afoot to organise youth activities in Roundwood for secondary school going teenagers.

FRANCE

Set Dancing & Classes continue in the Mill Room in Kilcoole every Wednesday night at 8pm. All are welcome.

SET DANCING
Set Dancing News Roundwood Set Dancing continues every Thursday night from 9.30pm til 11.30pm with music supplied by Michael, Matt and Brian for the coming few weeks.
We have classes for beginners for an hour before the weekly session which has been well supported so if you have been thinking of joining classes, now is your chance. The cost of the night is a mere €5 (to include the lesson and the session afterwards).
You can have a better work out than a gym, a whole lot more sociable and an awful lot cheaper! So get those feet tapping and join us on the dancefloor!
