SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Billy Dixon, Gorey Road, Carnew who died last week, his remains were removed to Carnew on Monday for 2 pm mass and burial took place in the new cemetery Carnew.

The 1st anniversary sale of Carnew Day Centre Boutique will take place on this Wednesday 11th July from 11.30 am - 3.30pm, with good as new clothing and items, cakes, toys, books and bargains galore, all welcome to come along.
CARNEW AND DISTRICT AGRICULTURAL SHOW
Carnew and District Agricultural Show will be held on Saturday 21st July in Umrigar, enquiries and entries for all classes, livestock, horses, indoor and junior classes taken by Gavin 0871429325 after 7 pm, Georgia 0539426268, Sarah 0872634569. Dog show entries taken on the field, this is a fun family day out with admission adults €5 and children free.

Congratulations to Clare Byrne, Kiltilahane and Enda Kenny who were married on Friday in Askamore.
GOLDEN JUBLIEE
Fr. Matt Brennan, Main Street, Carnew will celebrate his golden jubilee of his ordination in the Priesthood on Friday 27th July with a mass at 7.30 pm in Carnew and followed by a reception in St. Brigid's Hall. Fr. Matt is issuing and open invitation to the mass and reception and no presents please only your presence.
PATRONS
Tomacork and Carnew patrons will take place on Sunday 21st July at 2 pm and 1.15pm.
FIRST RESPONDERS PETITIONS
This is the last week for the petitions for the First Responders in all the businesses in the town if you haven’t signed them and would wish to please do so as soon as possible as they will be collected at the weekend. Many thanks to all who have signed and all who helped to get signatures.
ASKAMORE VINTAGE CAR AND TRACTOR RUN
Askamore vintage club are holding a car and tractor run on Sunday 29th July starting at 12.30pm, all proceeds will go towards North Wexford M.S. all welcome to come along.
BIBLE STUDY
Bible study resumes in Askamore on 25th July to the end of August at 7 pm, topic Battling the Prince of Darkness, all welcome to come along.
ASKAMORE FEILE LE CHEILE
Askamore Feile Le Cheile begins on 20th July with the Brains of Askamore table quiz, this year local clubs, organisations, businesses and individuals are asked to enter, teams of four cost €20, there will be qualifying rounds on Sunday 15th July, Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th with the best two teams from each night and the next two best teams qualifying for the grand final on Sunday 22nd.

Friday 20th The Madcaps, family friendly fun in Askamore at 8.30pm, billed as Irelands leading comedy mime act, this will be followed by a traditional night with Jack Kilbride and friends, tickets only €5 and includes both events and are on sale from all committee members.
Saturday 21st car treasure hunt starting from the hall at 7.15 pm €10 per car, prizes awarded later that night in the School bar, followed by a ceile and social dancing with Paddy Wade in Askamoe Hall at 9.30pm admission €8.
Sunday 22nd mass on Sliabh Bhui at 5 pm, the mass site is accessible this year by car or there will be a guided walk up to the mass site from the church car park at 3.15p,
Grand final of Brains of Askamore table quiz at 9pm.

Hard luck to Carnew under 14's who won one match and lost two at the feile last week, well done on all on getting that far as that is a great achievement, to all mentors, parents, supporters and anyone who helped in anyway, your support is greatly appreciated.
