RNLI Arklow lifeboat launches to the aid of stricken UK vesssel

RNLI Arklow Lifeboat Launched on Saturday night (07.07.12) shortly after 11.30pm to the aid of a stricken UK registered yacht.
The vessel was making little headway via sail and had developed engine problems.
Upon arrival on scene near Glasgorman Bank, RNLI Arklow Lifeboats crew secured a tow to the stricken vessel "CAVALIER" and commenced the tow back to Arklow.
The vessel was brought alongside in Arklow Harbour with the aid of RNLI Arklow's volunteer shore crew ,shortly after 1am, all hands came ashore safely.
The yacht had left Milford Haven early Saturday Morning and was bound for Arklow according to the crew of the vessel.
