Road and footpath improvements for Kilcoole
Cllr Tom Fortune says the NTA (National Transport Authority) have approved funding for a feasibility study at the roundabout at the bottom of the village and the completion of a footpath to the Railway Station. The study is to be done this year with the work to be carried out next year.
Cllr Fortune says that he has been discussing this with the county council and the gardai for a few years and this is great news as it will address serious health & safety issues in Kilcoole.
He says that he has also requested that funding be provided as soon as possible to have a footpath installed from Kilcoole Industrial Estate to the GAA field, again we are depending on funding from the NTA to have this essential work done.
