Arklow fire service attend fire at fuel depot

Gardai and Arklow fire service at a fire on Sunday evening

Arklow fire services attended a fire at a fuel depot in the town on Sunday evening.

The fire at the Fuel store on Yellow lane was reported just after 5pm.

The fire unit quickly put the fire out and made the scene safe, the fire was caused after a mattress was set alight at the back of the building. Tha Main building only suffered smoke damage.

Gardai in Arklow are also looking for help from the public after a robbery at Knockenrahan Industrial estate on Thursday night.

Thieves forced their way into Heat Merchants and pulled the safe from the floor before forcing it open taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
