Local man Paul Flynn who had been the driving force behind the local search party posted on the Revive Arklow Group Facebook page "It's with sad news and some happy news that I am able to update the first picture I placed on Facebook during the search for James."
"Loads of local people got together and vowed to ensure James came home, and that mission was completed today. While there is loads of names to mention I have have to say well done to Alan Murphy who brought the The Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service down to Arklow and seems like James was waiting till one of his own came to take him home."
"Thanks to everyone who posted, sent pm with information, and kept the search going. To all the local business who helped the team during the hard times. For now the search is over, time to grieve over the loss of a great young fella. Take care RED."
