Postmortem finds James death was a tragic accident (Updated)
Gardaí are treating the death of teenager James Sheehan as a tragic accident.
James remains were formally identified last night and, following a post mortem examination today, gardaí have said he died of natural causes, his death was a tragic accident.
Search teams and gardaí looking for the 18-year-old recovered the body from the Avoca river yesterday evening. It was discovered at the north quay.
Gardaí have extended their thanks to the Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service, which located the body, as well as the assistance of the Garda Water Unit, Civil Defence and the local community.

August 19th, 2012. James; dearly loved son of Catherine and David beloved brother of Anthony, Daniel, and Alex. He will be sadly missed by his loving mother, father, brothers, nanny Eileen and nanny Elizabeth, grandad Anthony, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends, and neighbours.

Reposing at Hudson’s Funeral Home from 12 noon on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Removal Monday morning at 9.30am to S.S. Mary & Peters Church arriving for Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Arklow.
