New Wicklow Search And Rescue Team

In response to the recent missing person in Arklow a new group in Wicklow have established the WICKLOW SEARCH & RESCUE team due to the lack of low land and urban search and rescue teams in Ireland.

The team is made up of emergency first responders first aiders, we will be active from the 1st of September 2012 we will assist the gardai, coast guard and civil defence teams around Wicklow and Ireland.

Currently we will be able to conduct urban and land search and rescues.

In the future we will be running fundraising for the purchase of a underwater ROV this will be capable of conducting under water searches for drowning victims by sonar and under water CCTV and a water craft rib.

Please note ALL FUNDRAISERS WILL CARRY OFFICIAL PHOTO ID CARDS AND WILL BE WEARING OFFICIAL UNIFORMS OF WICKLOW SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAM.
