Mayo man living in Rathdrum shows his true colours

There is no guessing which team Tony Battle is supporting in Sundays forthcoming All-Ireland football final.
The Mayo native has been living in Rathdrum for the last 30 years with his wife May on the Main street, where they ran a grocery store before retiring.
Speaking to Wicklownews.net Tony said "I'm so happy I decided to paint the house, the last time Mayo were in the All-Ireland they won two in a row 1950 and 1951 I was 13 years of age and listened to the matches on the wireless at home in Ballina."
Asked what did he think of the curse that was put on the team that won in 1951, when on there way back to Mayo they met with a travelers funeral and refused to wait outside the town until it had passed (Legend has it that a curse was put on the team and Mayo would not win an All-Ireland until every player on the side had passed away, there are two players still alive from the 1951 winning team) he said "Le cúnamh Dé" (With God's help) they will win.
Tony was unable to get a ticket for the showdown with Donegal so this time he will be at home and watch it on the T.V.
